The Philippine Embassy in Jordan advised Filipinos to avoid going to areas where demonstrations and rallies are taking place amid the ongoing conflict between Israel and the Palestinian militant group Hamas.
In an advisory over the weekend, the embassy also urged Filipinos "to monitor the latest developments through reputable sources, and to follow instructions from the local law enforcement authorities."
"The embassy further reminds all Filipinos to exercise caution at all times, particularly near protest sites, and to delay non-essential road travel should demonstrations occur," it added.
The Jordanian military enforced heightened security measures in Jordan's shared border with Israel, amid ongoing and planned demonstrations by Jordanians "in solidarity with Palestine."
It said demonstrations are likely to materialize in major cities of Amman, Aqaba and Maan. Jordan's security force has been deployed along these areas.
The Jordanian government has already banned protests and gatherings near its border with Palestine, including "Jordan Valley and the surrounding areas along the border with Palestine."
Jordan is located next to Israel and the Palestinian West Bank.
