Authorities involved in the conduct and security of the 2023 Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections are now discussing measures to be adopted  in "areas of grave concern" in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.

Commissioner Aimee Ferolino, chairperson of the poll body's Committee on the Ban on Firearms and Security Concerns, held a Joint Conference with the Regional Joint Security Control Center and Provincial Joint Security Control Center to iron out security concerns in most areas in BARMM.

Ferolino presided over the meeting held at the Kampilan Officers Clubhouse, Headquarters, 6th Infantry Division, Camp Siongco, Awang, Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao del Norte last Monday.

To recall, the Philippine National Police reported on Monday that at least 70 percent of the 357 "areas of grave concern" for the 2023 BSKE are located in the BARMM.
