HANGZHOU — Clyde Mondilla failed to sustain his opening-round fire and although shooting two-under-par, slid to a share of 13th place Friday in the Hangzhou Asian Games men's golf competition at the West Lake Golf Villa.
Mondilla's 70 gave him a two-day total of 135, 13 strokes off runaway leader Kho Taichi of Hong Kong who carded a blistering 60 for 18-under 122.
Kho, who sees action in the Asian Tour, leads by six shots Korean teenage amateur Jang Yubin who fashioned out a 67.
Rianne Malixi signed up a 70 on Friday to slide to 9th place, six shots behind the leader in the women's action.
