While the cat is out of the bag regarding how Sofia's mom, former Sexbomb dancer Izzy Trazona, doesn't approve of Sofia's lifestyle and her career as a drag queen, Michael Navarro, Sofia's biological father, on the other hand, said in an interview with News 5, that he supports her fully.

"Wala naman akong ibang naisip na masama sa ginawa nya… as long as sya yun eh…Hindi sya gumagawa ng masama sa kapwa nya…Tuloy lang nya yung pangarap nya…" Navarro, also a former dancer, said.

Izzy Trazona said in a post that her religious beliefs keep her from supporting her son's lifestyle in drag, while Sofia said she cannot live a life that is a lie.

Netizens have criticized Trazona for letting her religious beliefs be an excuse for homophobia.
