SEA Games gold medalists Vanessa Sarno and Kristel Macrohon failed to make it into the top three of the women's 71-kilogram event of the IWF World Championships in Riyadh late Thursday.
Macrohon finished the tournament at 19th place with a snatch of 97kgs and a clean-and-jerk of 128kgs for a total lift of 225kgs.
Meanwhile, Sarno was unranked after completing a snatch of 100kgs but failed to register a clean-and-jerk, leaving her without a total lift.
Liao Guifang of China took home the gold with a total lift of 273kgs while Colombia's Angia Paola Palacios Dajomes came in at second place with a total lift of 255kgs.
Olivia Reeves finished at fourth place with a total lift of 253kgs.
