AirAsia announced on Friday the airline's remarkable winning streak at this year's World Travel Awards Asia and Oceania as the airline receives two coveted titles—"Asia's Leading Low-Cost Airline" for an unprecedented eighth consecutive year and "Asia's Leading Low-Cost Airline Cabin Crew" for an impressive seventh year in a row.

In these categories, which also featured more than 10 other airlines, AirAsia was declared the winner after receiving the most support from regional industry participants, customers, and travel experts. This honor comes after Skytrax's recent selection of AirAsia as the world's best low-cost airline for 14 years running.

AirAsia Aviation Group Limited and Group CEO Bo Lingam said they would like to thank the nearly 800 million guests and their incredible Allstars for rocking their world. They are committed to honoring the confidence of their guests by providing a better customer experience on the ground and in the air.

AirAsia Cabin Crew Group Head Suhaila Hassan said that she is proud that the airline is honored again with the prestigious "Asia's Leading Low-Cost Airline Cabin Crew" award for the seventh consecutive year. This incredible achievement, she added, is a heartfelt tribute to their exceptional cabin crew members who consistently go above and beyond to ensure their guests' journeys are nothing short of fantastic. It is a testament to the passion and commitment that drive them forward and to constantly improve. With this accolade, they are even more motivated to keep pushing boundaries and delivering unforgettable journeys to each and every one of their valued guests, Hassan said.

In addition to winning, AirAsia Superapp, the company's one-stop travel platform, also won the prestigious title of "Asia's Leading Online Travel Agency (OTA)". The fact that AirAsia Superapp won its first nomination is a credit to its creative strategy as an all-inclusive, end-to-end travel app that provides travelers with an amazing booking experience. With a variety of goods and services like an online travel agency (OTA) platform with flights from more than 700 airlines and 900,000 hotels worldwide, ride-hailing with AirAsia ride, and duty-free shopping with AirAsia shop, among others, the AirAsia Superapp has grown to be a vital resource for 51 million travelers looking for good value, convenience, and affordability.

Tan Mai Yin, the chief commercial officer of Airasia Superapp, commented: "We are thrilled to receive this prestigious recognition as 'Asia's Leading Online Travel Agency.' Winning the award over other reputable OTAs solidifies our commitment to transforming travel through technology and giving visitors a one-stop platform that revolutionizes their journey from planning to experiencing.

The World Travel Awards, which were first presented in 1993, are described as one of the most prestigious, extensive, and sought-after award ceremonies honoring achievements in the major travel, tourism, and hospitality industries.
