MPD elated with negative drug test results
Manila Police District director P/Brig. Gen. Andrei Dizon expressed his gladness over the recent surprise drug testing conducted on all MPD personnel assigned at the MPD headquarters in United Nations Avenue, Ermita, Manila.
In an interview with the Daily Tribune, Dizon said that he is overwhelmed by the 100 percent negative result of the drug testing, which means that not one of his men, from the rank of colonel down to PO1, tested positive for illegal drugs.
The drug testing was conducted on Monday morning, during the MPD's flag-raising ceremony and Dizon said that no announcement was made about the drug testing beforehand and that all personnel were required to undergo the test.
Dizon himself underwent the drug test, and all other police officials followed suit. He said that the urine samples were extracted and guarded by crime laboratory personnel to ensure that there was no tampering.
The drug testing was also conducted at all 14 police stations in the city and Dizon said that no one tested positive for illegal drugs.
