Around 100 members of the Manila Police District underwent surprised testing Monday morning at the MPD headquarters along United Nations Avenue in Ermita, Manila.

This was according to P/Maj. Philip Ines, Public Information Chief of the MPD which is part of an internal program initiated by  MPD Director P/Brig. Gen. Andrei Dizon to make sure all Manila cops are drug-free.

Ines stressed that those who will be found positive will have to undergo confirmatory testing and if it yielded positive results will be facing administrative charges.

It was learned that series of unannounced drug testing is being held also at the police station offices.
