Princess Superal, one of the country's top golfers who chose to compete in the region instead of the United States, encountered yet another tough round, salvaging an even-par 72 six shots off the pace entering the final round of the Thailand LPGA Championship.

The 26-year-old Superal, last year's Asia Pacific Cup champion, turned in her best round for the tournament after the past two rounds where she limped with 74s at the Royal Hian Hin Golf Course.

She is marking her comeback to competitive play after a long layoff. And it showed.

Superal birdied the first, 11th and 15th but negated them with bogeys through the round to cap the first three rounds at three-over 220 for joint 19th.

She would need a strong showing to gain inroad to the top leaderboard dominated by Thais Meesum-us Phannarai and Kongkraphon Patcharajutar who were at three-under par.

Superal came off a month-long rest after a rocky campaign on the LPGA Tour of Japan and its secondary circuit Japan Step Up Tour.
