On his first Christmas as the Philippine Chief Executive, President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. will celebrate the holidays in the Malacañang Palace with his family, according to the Office of the Press Secretary.
"The First Family will celebrate Christmas in Malacañang," an OPS official told the Daily Tribune in a text message on Saturday.
Meanwhile, Malacañang on Saturday reminded the public to abide by the minimum public health standards as they celebrate the holidays.
In a social media post, the Office of the Press Secretary cautioned the public that Covid-19 is not yet over and continue to be highly transmissible.
"This Christmas, consider the safety of ourselves, our family and friends amid our continuous fight against Covid-19," its post read.
"While the restrictions on gatherings have been further eased, following the health protocols will help us in ensuring our good health as we celebrate Christmas and New Year," it added.
