Man nabbed at NAIA over alleged unauthorized porter activities

A 26-year-old man was arrested at the open parking area of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 in Pasay City after an encounter with a police officer over alleged unauthorized porter activities escalated into verbal abuse and physical resistance.
Initial reports indicated that the suspect had previously been warned against engaging in unauthorized porter activities within the terminal premises. During a subsequent patrol, a police officer again instructed him to leave the area. However, the suspect allegedly refused to comply, prompting the issuance of a city ordinance violation receipt.
The situation further escalated when the suspect allegedly became angry and loudly uttered insulting and profane remarks against the police officer, including questioning why he was always being singled out.
Despite repeated instructions to leave the premises, the suspect allegedly continued his verbal outbursts. When the officer proceeded with the arrest and attempted to handcuff him, the suspect struggled and refused to allow his hands to be secured before allegedly pushing the officer, causing him to stagger backward. A security guard witnessed the incident.
The suspect was brought to Mobile Patrol Security Unit and faces complaints of alleged violations of Articles 287 (Unjust Vexation) and 151 (Resistance and Disobedience to a Person in Authority) of the Revised Penal Code.
