BI braces Kalibo, Caticlan international flights

The Bureau of Immigration announced on Monday that it is gearing up for the opening of a new international airports in Kalibo and Caticlan, where several flights bound to and from Taiwan will be opened this December.
BI Commissioner Norman Tansingco said that he has already instructed the BI Port Operations Division to ensure that adequate personnel are deployed to the two airports to address the increased volume of passengers resulting from the new flights.
He added that the inaugural flight from Caticlan to Taipei by the Royal Air is scheduled on 13 December, which will mark the first time the BI will launch its operations at the new Caticlan Airport.
On 29 December, Tiger Air will be launching its Kalibo-Taipei-Kalibo flights. Initially, Tiger Air plans to mount four flights to Taipei every week.
Tansingco also said that the BI anticipates an increase in international passenger volume in all of the international ports next year when a further easing in Covid-19 travel restrictions is expected.
