Takeoff's alleged murderer has been arrested.
In a press conference on Friday, 2 December, Police Chief Troy Finner of the Houston Police Department revealed that Patrick Xavier Clark, 33, was arrested and charged with murder.
Accoriding to Finner, "A month ago, we made a promise that we would get the individuals or the individual that's responsible for the murder of Takeoff in custody."
The police chief discussed the findings with Takeoff's mother before announcing these to the public. Further details have yet to be disclosed.
The Miggos rapper, whose real name is Kirsnick Khari Ball, was shot dead during an altercation that happened outside the private party he and his uncle and
co-member Quavo, attended on 1 November.
The latter sustained injuries but survived the incident.
On 11 November, fans and relatives gathered at Atlanta's State Farm Arena to pay tribute to the fallen rapper. Several stars were in attendance including Justin Bieber and Drake who performed in celebration of Takeoff's life.
