Marikina City Mayor Marcelino "Marcy" Teodoro is urging the national government to include informal settler families as beneficiaries of the high-rise socialized housing project in the city.
The local chief executive said that the housing projects will benefit middle income residents such as teachers and policemen, among others.
"That's what I asked them how we can include the informal settler families. Some of them have jobs but not formal such as market vendors and tricycle drivers," Teodoro said. "So, I said there should be a category for informal settler families, then the subsidy from the government should be focused for them."

The high-rise condominiums will be constructed at the seven-hectare lot in Barangay Nangka just beside Twinville Subdivision and Fairlane Subdivision.
