A Chinese national who had posted on social media a sex video of his ex-lover and threatened to upload more if she doesn't sleep with him has been arrested naked inside a motel where the victim lured him into a police entrapment.
The victim had sought the help of the Philippine National Police-Anti Cybercrime Group after Jack Liu, a 31-year-old businessman and resident of Barangay Muelle Loney in Iloilo City, allegedly demanded that they meet in a lodge on 12 October or he will expose their sex videos, PNP-ACG chief Brig. Gen. Joel Doria said in a statement issued on Sunday.
The ACG hatched an entrapment at a lodge in Molo, Iloilo and as soon as the victim entered the room at 8:40 p.m., members of the Regional Anti-Cybercrime Unit 6 and Iloilo City Police Stations 4 and 5 immediately followed and arrested the suspect who did not have his clothes on, according to the statement.
Liu is facing charges of grave coercion and violation of the Anti-Photo and Video Voyeurism Act of 2009 as well as the Anti-Violence Against Women and their Children Act of 2004.
The suspect, not wanting to end their relationship started threatening the victim that he will spread their sex videos if she leaves him,"€ RACU 6 OIC Lt. Col. Artemio Ricabo said.
At first, the victim was skeptic about the existence of their sex videos and decided to ignore her ex-lover's threat until the suspect sent a clip of their sex video on 12 October to one of her friends,"€ Ricabo said.
Due to the abusive behavior of the suspect and some misunderstandings, the victim decided to end their relationship sometime in August, according to Ricabo.
