CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga — The Department of Agriculture Central Luzon continues its distribution of the Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund — Rice Farmers Financial Assistance to 1,309 farmers in Pampanga at the Bren Z. Guiao Convention Center here.
With the help of the Universal Storefront Services Corporation, each rice farmer receives P5,000 in cash assistance.
Each beneficiary is registered at the Registry System for Basic Sectors in Agriculture and has a farmland measuring two hectares or less.
According to beneficiary Martin Reyes from Arayat, the assistance has been a big help to his agricultural venture, expressing his gratitude to the national government agency for the assistance.
A total of 202,712 farmers in Central Luzon is expected to receive cash assistance from the agency.
The distribution was graced by Pampanga Governor Dennis Pineda along with Vice Governor Lilia Pineda, APCO Pampanga Lorna Tablante, officials from the agency and the Board Members of Pampanga.
