Actress and “Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition 3.0” housemate Mikee Quintos became emotional as she opened up to Big Brother about one of the most painful experiences of her life—the passing of her beloved grandmother and the regret she continues to carry three years after her death.

During a heartfelt conversation inside the famous Bahay ni Kuya, Mikee recalled the final days she spent with her grandmother, whom their family affectionately called Nanay.

The Kapuso actress revealed that her grandmother passed away just three days after celebrating her birthday, making what should have been a joyful family occasion one of her most heartbreaking memories.

According to Mikee, her grandmother was already confined to a hospital when the family gathered to celebrate her special day.

Despite her condition, they tried to make the occasion memorable by preparing a birthday celebration at her bedside.

“The day I want to forget… Three years ago, I lost my lola. Si Nanay, everyone called her Nanay. We lost her three days after her birthday,” Mikee recalled.

She shared that her grandmother even wore a birthday headband while the family gathered around her hospital bed.

Although Nanay could no longer enjoy her favorite dishes, her loved ones still prepared food and celebrated together.

However, Mikee admitted that she had no idea those moments would become some of their final memories together.

What continues to haunt her is her decision to leave the hospital that evening to watch a basketball game.

At the time, she never imagined that her grandmother had only a few days left to live.

Overcome with emotion, Mikee confessed that she sometimes wishes she could return to that particular day and make a different choice.

“Kaya ko gustong malimutan, whenever maaalala ko yung day na yun, I just feel so selfish. ‘Cause di ko naman in-expect na we’re gonna lose her na in three days after that,” she admitted.

The actress revealed that after their family dinner, she left without spending more time with her grandmother.

“Nanood ako ng basketball, eh. Umalis ako. After mag-dinner, di ko siya sinamahan,” she continued.

Looking back, Mikee said she wishes she had chosen to stay beside Nanay throughout the night, even if it meant doing nothing more than holding her hand.

“Gusto ko yung kalimutan. Gusto ko siyang i-erase yung memory. I regret na if I have a choice, if I could go back, if I could. Kasi, like, hinawakan ko na lang yung kamay niya buong night.”

Her emotional confession revealed a deeply personal side of the actress, who is known to viewers for her television roles and cheerful personality.

Beyond the cameras and entertainment industry, Mikee showed the vulnerability of a granddaughter still grieving the loss of someone who played an important role in her life.

Her story also reflected the painful realization that ordinary moments with loved ones can become priceless memories when circumstances unexpectedly change.

Although she could not have known what would happen three days later, Mikee admitted that the memory of leaving her grandmother’s bedside remains difficult to accept.

The emotional moment inside the PBB house offered viewers a glimpse of the personal struggles and experiences that have shaped Mikee beyond her career in show business.

For the actress, sharing her story with Big Brother became an opportunity to express feelings she has carried for years.

Her confession serves as a poignant reminder of the importance of cherishing time with family, especially when every moment together can become a memory worth holding on to.

And while Mikee may wish she could change that one particular evening, the love she continues to express for her grandmother remains a lasting testament to their special bond.
