Maricar Camacho carried the torch for women as she emerged the fastest in the 2026 Lactacyd Women’s Run PH on Sunday at Ayala Triangle Gardens.

Camacho ruled the 10K race in 41 minutes and 27 seconds, almost a full two minutes ahead of fellow podium finishers Mea Gey Adialiaan Ninura (43:23) and Jennelyn Isibido (43:24) to shine the brightest in the biggest turnout for the racing series.

About 12,500 runners joined in the event, which was meant to be a celebration of women's empowerment, fitness, and community, with Lactacyd serving as the title sponsor.

Jo Punay also claimed the top spot in the 5K race with her time of 21:18, followed by Pauline Kaye Escuro (22:53) and Maria Jonna Liza Abutas (23:54).

Jema Marcelyn Funtanar topped the 1K category in 5:46, with Amaria Rondilla (6:26) finishing second, and London Mendoza (6:58) placing third.

Beyond the competition, the Lactacyd Women’s Run PH continued to provide a platform for women of different ages and fitness levels to embrace active lifestyles and celebrate their strength through sport, with HydroAid as the official electrolyte drink partner, Refresh as the official hydration partner, and the PGH Cancer Survivors Organization as the official advocacy partner.
