Bong Go aids 530 DavOr PWDs

Senator Christopher “Bong” Go extended financial and other assistance to 530 persons with disabilities (PWDs) in San Isidro, Davao Oriental (DavOr), on 23 October.
The beneficiaries received financial assistance, food packs, shirts, pens and vitamins. Basketballs were also distributed, while shoes, a watch, a bicycle and a cellphone were raffled off.
Go said he would continue helping individuals and families facing financial hardship, illness and other difficulties.
He has filed Senate Bill 677, or the proposed Early Voting Days for Senior Citizens, Pregnant Women and PWDs Act of 2025, which seeks to establish an early voting system for qualified voters belonging to vulnerable sectors, including PWDs.
“As your Mr. Malasakit, whatever challenges we face in the coming days, I will continue serving all of you because serving has become my habit, and I believe that serving the people is serving God,” he said.
Go co-authored Senate Bill 1405, which proposes lifetime validity for identification cards issued to persons with permanent disabilities, eliminating the need for repeated renewals.
Local officials present during the activity included San Isidro Mayor Maria Angelica Go-Dayanghirang, Vice Mayor Sherlyn Marcojos-Casama and Davao Oriental Board Member Don Montojo, along with municipal council members and other community representatives.
