GCash offers Filipino families health protection options

GCash is offering families access to health insurance and healthcare options through its GInsure Health service, with plans designed to help manage expenses from routine medical needs to major illnesses.
Through GInsure Health on the GCash app, users can choose health protection products from Oona Insurance and KwikCare.
The Oona All-in-One Health Plan starts at P48 per month per family member and allows coverage for up to four family members, with coverage of up to P100,000. It provides a lump-sum cash payout upon diagnosis of critical illnesses including cancer, stroke and heart attack, as well as accidental disability coverage and daily hospital allowances.
For everyday healthcare needs, KwikCare HMO starts at P995 per month and provides cashless access to more than 2,000 accredited hospitals and clinics nationwide. It covers services such as doctor consultations, laboratory tests and inpatient and outpatient procedures, with plans offering a Maximum Benefit Limit of up to P350,000.
The KwikCare plan also allows users to add spouses, children or parents as dependents through the GCash app.
To avail of the plans, users can open the GCash app, go to GInsure and select Health. They can then select Oona Insurance or KwikCare HMO, provide the required details, answer four health questions, and review and confirm their information.
GCash said the health protection options are intended to provide families with added support in managing medical expenses and extending healthcare coverage to family members.
