UNIQLO SM City Marikina will temporarily closed on 11 September 2026 as the Japanese apparel retailer undertakes enhancement works ahead of the reopening of its expanded store on 2 October.

The upgraded store will feature additional retail space and a refreshed shopping environment, allowing customers to explore UNIQLO’s LifeWear collection in a larger setting.

The expansion is part of UNIQLO’s efforts to improve accessibility and enhance the shopping experience as it continues to expand alongside retail developments in communities across the Philippines.

As part of the initiative, UNIQLO will also extend its Supporting Brighter Futures Through Education program to Cabanatuan in partnership with SM Foundation.

Under the initiative, proceeds from purchases of participating AIRism Innerwear items will help fund the construction of a new classroom for a selected local public school.

The company said the expansion also forms part of its commemoration of the 70th anniversary of Philippines-Japan friendship, highlighting Japanese innovation, local relevance and community initiatives.
