Carrousel, the new flatware collection by Christofle, occupies the space between functional object and collectible design. Conceived by Parisian jewelry designer Charlotte Chesnais, it brings Christofle’s historic goldsmithing tradition into dialogue with the fluid vocabulary of contemporary jewelry and sculpture.

The 24-piece collection is housed in a mobile walnut case that is itself an object of distinction. Evoking kinetic art and drawing inspiration from Jean Arp, its sculptural form is finished in a stunning two-tone silver and gold surface.

Each silver-plated piece of cutlery is individually signed, its bold, organic lines revealing Chesnais’s unmistakable approach to form. The resulting ensemble is simultaneously a  flatware service and an objet d’art, designed to be handled, used, and appreciated as much for its artistry as for its function.
