Let’s be real — snacking is no longer just about mindless eating between meals. For this generation, it’s a whole vibe. Whether it’s a quick dopamine hit between back-to-back classes, a 2 a.m. study-session savior, or just a “sweet little treat” to romanticize the daily hustle, snacking has become a form of self-care and self-expression.

We don’t just want food; we want snacks that match our energy and fit seamlessly into our lifestyle.

Enter SEVENTEEN’s Mingyu, who clearly understands the assignment. The K-pop powerhouse has teamed up with Snickers for a massive drop across Asia, but it’s not just another standard celebrity endorsement. This time, Mingyu actually co-created the packaging, bringing his own personality, passions, and creative vision straight to the wrapper.

    Tapping into the collector mindset

If there’s one thing K-pop fans know how to do, it’s to collect. From photocards to multiple album versions, the thrill of the hunt is half the fun. This collaboration taps right into that hyper-fixation with six limited-edition pack designs dropping across nine Asian markets (including the Philippines, South Korea, Taiwan and Thailand).

Instead of a generic face-on-a-wrapper situation, each of the six packs features distinct messages and artistic elements inspired by the different sides of Mingyu. It’s a clever move that bridges pop culture with our daily snacking habits.

We aren’t just grabbing a chocolate bar for a sugar rush anymore; we’re grabbing a highly collectible, edible piece of pop culture. Plus, scanning the QR code on the packaging unlocks exclusive digital wallpapers, perfectly merging a physical snack break with our digital lives.

    Extra perks for filo carats

If you’re in the Philippines, there’s an extra layer to the drop. Because we love a good merch moment, picking up these special edition packs online via TikTok Shop, Shopee, or Lazada can also score you exclusive Mingyu sticker collectibles (while supplies last, obviously).

Honestly, bringing a bit of Mingyu’s main character energy into a random Tuesday afternoon snack break? That’s a little treat we can definitely get behind.
