ZTE Corporation opened its 15th Global Summit & User Congress in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, bringing together more than 500 government officials, telecommunications executives, industry leaders and technology partners to discuss the next phase of connectivity, artificial intelligence and digital economic growth. The event is being held alongside GSMA M360 ASEAN for the first time.

Held under te theme “Architecting Infinity–From Connectivity to Digital Value,” the summit highlighted ZTE’s push to move beyond traditional network infrastructure toward AI-powered services and new digital business models.

Malaysia Communications minister Fahmi Fadzil said the country’s next digital phase should focus not only on expanding connectivity but also on generating tangible benefits through improved public services, stronger businesses and more opportunities for Malaysians.

Malaysia Digital Minister Gobind Singh Deo, meanwhile, said the country’s ambition to become an AI nation by 2030 will require local talent, trusted governance and support for homegrown innovators.

ZTE executive vice president and chief operating officer Xie Junshi said the convergence of connectivity and computing is reshaping the industry.

“Across the globe, connectivity and computing are coming together. This is a major industry trend. Global 5G keeps expanding with steady growth. At the same time, AI has become a key growth driver for the industry,” Xie said.

“Connectivity built our foundation. Intelligence is our momentum. Infinity is our horizon — and together, we will Architect it,” he added.

At the summit, ZTE showcased AI-enabled network technologies, intelligent computing infrastructure and new AI devices as part of its roadmap from connectivity and computing toward commercial AI applications.

Among the technologies presented were its AIR MAX architecture for AI-native networks, AI-powered optical networks and its TCO-Optimal AI Factory, which is designed to reduce the cost of producing AI tokens through integrated computing, storage and networking systems.

ZTE also unveiled AI-powered home technologies and new consumer devices, including the nubia Neo 5 GT, nubia Neo 5 Max and ZTE G6 Ultra connectivity device.
