A 33-year-old security guard was arrested and around 0.6 grams of suspected shabu was confiscated during a buy-bust operation in Bautista, Pangasinan, early Monday morning, September 14, 2026.

The operation, conducted by personnel of the Bautista Municipal Police Station in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Regional Office 1 (PDEA RO1), ran from 1:30 a.m. to 2:55 a.m.

Police identified the suspect as a 33-year-old man with a live-in partner, working as a security guard and residing in Alcala, Pangasinan.

Police seized two heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing approximately 0.6 grams of suspected shabu, with a stated standard drug price of P4,080. The sachets were reportedly subject to both sale and possession charges.

Also confiscated were a marked P500 bill used as buy-bust money, two disposable lighters, a glass pipe, a disposable tooter, a sky-blue pair of scissors, two open transparent plastic sachets, a black Vivo cellular phone with a red casing, and a black Kawasaki Bajaj motorcycle bearing plate number 262 IPR.

Police said the inventory and marking of the seized evidence were conducted at the scene in the presence of the suspect and mandatory witnesses, in accordance with legal requirements.

The suspect remains under police custody pending the filing of appropriate charges.
