Police arrested a listed high-value individual and seized approximately P376,040 worth of suspected shabu during an entrapment operation at Barangay Pembo, Taguig City on Tuesday night.
The suspect was identified only by the alias Jessie, 44, unemployed and a resident of Barangay Pembo, Taguig City.
At around 9 p.m., Station Drug Enforcement Unit operatives, together with personnel from Taguig City Police Station's Sub-Station 10, conducted a buy-bust operation along Jasmin Street in Barangay Pembo. An undercover officer negotiated a drug transaction, leading to the immediate arrest of the suspect by responding officers.
Recovered from the suspect were nine heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing approximately 55.3 grams, with a standard drug price of P376,040, along with a black-and-white pouch, genuine buy-bust money, and boodle money.
Formal charges for violation of Section 5 (Sale) and Section 11 (Possession), Article II of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) are being prepared for filing against the suspect.
