The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Central Luzon, and the WPH Digital Pte Ltd. aim to promote the responsible and strategic use of generative artificial intelligence in modern business operations and supporting government initiatives.
The partnership was solidified during the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the government agency and the digital innovation company at the SACOP Ephatha Development Center in the City of San Fernando, Pampanga in August 2026.
The partnership highlights the potential of AI in transforming modern business operations and supporting government initiatives through innovative and practical AI-powered tools and applications.
DOST-Central Luzon Regional Director Dr. Julius Caesar V. Sicat and WPH Digital Managing Director Vincent Leoh signed the MOU, marking a collaborative effort to support digital transformation and strengthen AI adoption across the region.
"Through WPH Academy, we help people build AI capabilities, and through WPH Digital, we help organisations apply those capabilities using practical AI solutions. When capability building and practical implementation come together, organisations start seeing real value from AI," Leoh said.
Sicat emphasized that AI is becoming an increasingly important part of how businesses operate, while also underscoring the need to use the technology responsibly.
"We are living in the time when technology is changing the way we work and do business. Artificial Intelligence is no longer something we only hear about in the news or see in movies. AI is already here, and it is becoming part of how businesses plan, create, communicate and improve their operations," he stated.
Through the partnership, DOST-Central Luzon and WPH Digital aim to strengthen AI capabilities, encourage responsible and ethical AI adoption, and support businesses in exploring practical AI applications that can contribute to a more innovative and technology-ready business sector.
