Two newly identified high-value individuals were apprehended during a high-stakes anti-illegal drug operation along MLQ C6 Extension Road in Barangay New Lower Bicutan, Taguig City on Friday night.

The joint operation was conducted at around 10 p.m. by operatives of the Southern Police District Drug Enforcement Unit (DDEU-SPD) and Taguig City Police Station.

The suspects, identified only as a 52-year-old female vendor and a 43-year-old unemployed male, were cornered during a carefully coordinated buy-bust operation.

Authorities recovered three heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing approximately 150 grams of suspected shabu, alongside the marked buy-bust money and a mobile phone used to facilitate illicit transactions. The confiscated narcotics carry an estimated standard drug price of P1,020,000.

Legal proceedings are moving swiftly as the 52-year-old female suspect faces charges for alleged violations of Sections 5 and 26 in relation to Section 5, Article II of Republic Act No. 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Her co-accused faces distinct charges for alleged violations of Sections 11 and 26 in relation to Section 5 of the same statute.

The two suspects have been transferred to the DDEU-SPD facility for comprehensive documentation and the formal filing of criminal complaints.
