The Philippine National Police (PNP) implemented another reshuffle effective Friday, 28 August, reassigning nine senior police officials to key positions.
Under an order dated 26 August issued by PNP Chief of Directorial Staff Lt. Gen. Neri Vincent Ignacio, Police Regional Office 1 director Brig. Gen. Jovencio Badua was designated officer in charge of the Directorate for Police Community Relations.
Badua replaces Maj. Gen. Roderick Augustus Alba, who is set to retire on 31 August. Maritime Group director Brig. Gen. Crisaleo Tolentino will take over as PRO 1 director.
Brig. Gen. Elmer Ragay was transferred from the PNP Drug Enforcement Group to lead PRO 9, while Brig. Gen. Rolindo Suguilon was reassigned from the PNP Training Service to PRO Caraga.
PRO Cordillera Administrative Region director Brig. Gen. Ericson Dilag was designated officer in charge of the Directorate for Information and Communication Technology Management, replacing Brig. Gen. Milo Pagtalunan, who is set to retire on 30 August.
Logistics Support Service director Brig. Gen. Noel Vallo will replace Dilag as PRO Cordillera chief.
Directorate for Comptrollership deputy director Brig. Gen. Jaime Cadatal was named LSS chief, while outgoing PRO Caraga director Brig. Gen. Marcial Mariano Magistrado IV will replace Cadatal as deputy director of the Directorate for Comptrollership.
PRO 9 director Brig. Gen. Dennis Esguerra, meanwhile, was reassigned as deputy director of the Directorate for Investigation and Detective Management.
Esguerra replaces Brig. Gen. Nestor Babagay Jr., who was earlier named PRO Northern Mindanao director following the appointment of Brig. Gen. Christopher Abrahano as officer in charge of the National Capital Region Police Office.
