Japanese Ambassador Endo Kazuya paid a farewell call on National Security Adviser Eduardo Oban Jr. on Monday as the diplomat concludes his official tenure in the Philippines.
During the meeting, Endo expressed his appreciation for the National Security Council’s leadership under Oban in advancing security cooperation between the two nations.
Oban recognized Endo’s contributions to strengthening bilateral relations and extended his best wishes for the outgoing ambassador’s future endeavors.
Both officials reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing defense and security cooperation to support peace and stability across the region.
Meantime, on 25 August, Endo paid a farewell call on Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) Secretary Ma. Theresa P. Lazaro and expressed his sincere gratitude for Secretary Lazaro’s leadership and steadfast partnership in further deepening Japan-Philippines relations.
Lazaro, in turn, conveyed her appreciation for Ambassador Endo’s contributions to strengthening the longstanding partnership between the two countries. The two sides reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening bilateral relations under the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. They also exchanged views on a range of issues including Japan-Philippines cooperation in the region.
