Solar-powered police outpost inaugurated in Cagayan

A solar-powered police outpost was inaugurated and blessed Wednesday, 19 August, in Barangay Santor, Sanchez Mira, Cagayan, as the Police Regional Office 2 (PRO2) sought to strengthen police visibility and accessibility in the community.
PRO2 Regional Director PBGen Mariano C. Rodriguez led the inauguration and blessing of the newly constructed facility, which will provide residents with an additional location to seek police assistance.
The outpost is expected to improve police response in the area, support crime prevention efforts, and strengthen coordination between law enforcement and the community.
In his message, Rodriguez said a secure community provides a stronger foundation for development.
“When a community feels secure, progress naturally follows. This facility will serve as a place where every citizen can seek assistance with confidence, trust, and a sense of security,” Rodriguez said.
He said the facility represents a stronger police presence in the community and reflects the Philippine National Police’s efforts to make its services “mas malapit, mas maagap, at mas epektibo.”
Rodriguez also thanked Sanchez Mira Mayor Abraham B. Bagasin, the municipal government, stakeholders, and other partners for their support in completing the project.
