Police arrested three men and two women and seized approximately 125 grams of suspected shabu valued at P850,000, along with a 9mm pistol, one magazine, and four rounds of live ammunition during an anti-illegal drug operation in Barangay San Dionisio, Parañaque City early Tuesday morning.
Personnel of the Parañaque City Police Station conducted the operation in Barangay San Dionisio, where the suspects were apprehended after one of them sold suspected dangerous drugs to an undercover police operative.
Confiscated from the 51‑year‑old male suspect were a heat‑sealed transparent plastic sachet and a knot‑tied plastic bag containing suspected shabu, one genuine P1,000 bill and five pieces of P1,000 boodle money, and a black sling bag. Also recovered from him were a Taurus 9mm pistol, a 9mm magazine, and four rounds of 9mm live ammunition.
Separate sachets of suspected shabu were likewise seized from the four other suspects. A sachet containing approximately five grams of suspected shabu valued at P34,000 was recovered from the 45‑year‑old male suspect, while another sachet of similar weight and value was confiscated from the 23‑year‑old female suspect. One sachet containing suspected shabu was also recovered from the 61‑year‑old male suspect and another from the 42‑year‑old female suspect.
In total, the operation resulted in the seizure of approximately 125 grams of suspected shabu valued at P850,000, in addition to the recovered firearm, ammunition, and other items.
The 51‑year‑old male suspect was arrested for violations of Sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act No. 9165, as well as illegal possession of firearms and ammunition under Republic Act No. 10591. The four other suspects were arrested for violation of Section 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165.
The five arrested suspects are now under police custody pending the filing of appropriate charges before the Parañaque City Prosecutor’s Office.
