Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) has received a Certificate of Recognition from the Philippine Red Cross Laguna Chapter after its blood donation drives collected 404 units in 2025.

Six MMPC employees also earned Galloner Awards for their individual contributions to the voluntary blood donation program.

The awards were presented during a recognition ceremony at the Sta. Rosa Stadium on 15 July. The event honored companies and individual donors who helped the Red Cross maintain the country’s blood supply and continue its humanitarian work.

MMPC collected the 404 blood units through voluntary donation activities held from 1 January to 31 December 2025. The company organizes blood drives every quarter and invites its employees to take part.

The program has become a regular activity at the car manufacturer rather than a one-time response. MMPC credited its employees and company management for the total collected during the year. The donations support the Red Cross effort to keep safe blood available for patients who need it.

The six Galloner Award recipients came from MMPC’s Manufacturing Division. Each employee had donated at least one gallon of blood through eight or more donations.

The awardees were Garizaldy Diaz, Kevin Mendros, Marijoyce Pellogo, Mark Kevin Galang, John Patrick Hardillo and Nazer Lopez.

MMPC Safety, Health and Environment Department vice president Marfel Ancheta said the award strengthened the company’s commitment to humanitarian service. Ancheta added that MMPC would continue to work with the Philippine Red Cross and encourage voluntary blood donation among its employees.

The latest honors follow another award given to the company in 2025. MMPC received the Philippine Red Cross Blood Service Platinum Award for its support of voluntary blood donation programs and its own mobile blood drives.

Its quarterly schedule gives employees repeated opportunities to donate instead of limiting participation to a single annual event. The six Galloner awardees also show how a regular workplace program can lead to long-term involvement from individual donors.

The 404 units collected over one year placed MMPC among the organizations recognized by the Laguna chapter during the Sta. Rosa ceremony. The company plans to maintain its blood donation activities as part of its community programs.

Blood supply depends on people who are willing and eligible to donate regularly. At MMPC, that support came from employees who joined the quarterly drives and from the six workers whose donation records earned separate Red Cross honors.
