A 33-year-old man was apprehended for alleged acts of lasciviousness in relation to Republic Act 7610 (Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act) in Barangay Sun Valley, Parañaque City early Sunday morning.
The suspect was identified only by the alias Arvin, factory worker and resident of Barangay Sun Valley, Parañaque City.
Initial investigation revealed that at about 1 a.m. on 2 August 2026, the 15-year-old female victim was awakened when her mother's live-in partner, alias Arvin, molested her while she was sleeping.
The minor pushed the suspect away, escaped the residence, and sought assistance from a relative at a nearby convenience store before calling emergency hotline 911.
Responding personnel from the Sun Valley Police Sub-Station, together with barangay enforcers, immediately proceeded to the scene and assisted the victim. Upon returning to the residence, the victim positively identified the suspect, leading to his prompt arrest.
The suspect was brought to the Parañaque City Police Station's Women and Children Protection Desk for proper documentation and the filing of formal criminal charges.
