Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) unveiled its next-generation artificial intelligence (AI) compute portfolio during its Advancing AI event, introducing new hardware and software offerings aimed at strengthening its position in AI training, inference, agentic AI and physical AI.

AMD Chair and chief executive officer Dr. Lisa Su was joined by industry partners and customers during the keynote to demonstrate how the company's latest technologies are designed to meet growing demand for AI computing across enterprise and hyperscale deployments.

Among the key announcements was the launch of AMD Helios, which the company described as the industry's first open rack-scale AI platform. AMD said the platform is now in production and will be deployed by leading AI companies at multi-gigawatt scale.

The company also introduced its AMD Instinct MI400 Series GPUs and 6th Generation EPYC processors, continuing its annual roadmap for AI accelerators and data center processors.

For physical AI applications, AMD launched the Ryzen AI Embedded X100 Series processors, along with new Kria AI system-on-modules and a robotics developer platform.

AMD likewise introduced ROCm.ai, an AI-native software platform that combines AI-assisted development, intelligent deployment and AI-powered software optimization to help developers accelerate AI application development.

The company also expanded its client AI portfolio through a collaboration with Cisco, which will integrate Ryzen AI technology into AI-powered enterprise collaboration devices and workplace solutions. DT

AMD said several companies, including Meta, Cerebras, OpenAI and AT&T, have adopted its AI technologies, while Anthropic and Microsoft have continued deploying AMD Instinct, EPYC and Helios rack-scale solutions.
