The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) recently hosted the Final Inter-Agency Coordinating Conference on the Security Preparations and Deployment Plans and Send-Off Ceremony as part of the preparations for the fifth State of the Nation Address (SONA) of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. scheduled on 27 July, Monday at the Batasang Pambansa Complex.
Led by the Office of the Deputy Chief, Philippine National Police (PNP) for Operations (ODCO), the conference was held at QCPD Grandstand in Camp Karingal, Quezon City on Friday afternoon which focused on the latest threat and risk assessment, security recommendations, and the overall security deployment plan to ensure the orderly, peaceful, and safe conduct of the SONA.
Meanwhile, personnel from various units of the Philippine National Police (PNP) and other government agencies involved in the security preparations for the SONA also took part at the send-off ceremony.
"The program included the inspection and introduction of contingent personnel, the blessing of personnel and equipment, and the formal deployment of security forces to their respective Areas of Responsibility (AORs) in preparation for security operations," QCPD told reporters.
Also present at the activity were members of the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) Command Group, district directors, and other officials from various PNP units and partner government agencies tasked with implementing the comprehensive security plan for SONA 2026.
