President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s intention of personally overseeing the whole process of the passage of the proposed budget for the next fiscal year may be good, but it is not allowed under the Constitution, Senator Risa Hontiveros said Wednesday.

Kinumpirma ng National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) noong Huwebes na may natukoy na silang "person of interest" sa mga pagbabanta sa buhay ni Sen. Risa Hontiveros sa social media.
Ayon kay NBI Director Melvin Matibag, inilunsad ang imbestigasyon matapos humingi ng tulong ang chief of staff ng senador. Kasalukuyan nang isinasagawa ang case build-up na isusumite sa Department of Justice (DOJ) kapag nakakalap ng sapat na ebidensya.
Isinuko ni Hontiveros sa NBI ang mga pangalan at screenshot ng daan-daang social media users na nagbanta umanong papatayin siya.
Tumindi ang mga pagbabanta laban sa senador matapos ang pagpaslang sa political vlogger na si Alicia Lipata, na kilala rin bilang "Mima Alicia."
