Move It Philippines extended its condolences to the family of rider-partner Fabio Norberte Jr., who was killed after allegedly being robbed by his passenger in Barangay 20, Caloocan City, in the early hours of 14 July.
The company also assured the family of its continued support as they seek justice for the victim.
Move It general manager Wayne Jacinto said the company had already provided initial financial assistance to Norberte’s family while processing the insurance benefits they may receive.
He added that the company continues to coordinate with the family to ensure that their other needs are addressed.
Jacinto also said they are cooperating with the Philippine National Police by providing information and records that may help in the investigation and prosecution of the case.
He added that the company is also prepared to provide legal assistance to the victim’s family.
Meanwhile, Move It is reviewing its booking system and safety protocols to further strengthen the protection of riders in its network.
