The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) dismantled a major distribution channel in Muntinlupa City, seizing approximately 1.583 kilograms of high-grade marijuana worth P2.37 million.

The high-impact sting, executed by operatives of the Muntinlupa City Police Station's Drug Enforcement Unit, occured around 10:25 p.m. along the busy corridor of 42 East Service Road in Barangay Alabang.

The operation culminated in the arrest of two prominent drug targets— a 29-year-old established high-value individual and a 21-year-old newly identified high-value individual.

Both suspects are now facing stringent criminal charges for violating Republic Act No. 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Tactical units at the scene recovered four massive, vacuum-sealed plastic bags packed with the premium grade illicit substance.

Alongside the contraband, police seized the genuine buy-bust currency used to bait the suspects and a silver Toyota Avanza, which authorities believe served as a mobile hub for the suspects' illicit distribution network across the southern sector of Metro Manila.

Following the bust, the suspects were immediately transported to the Muntinlupa City Police Station SDEU headquarters for comprehensive booking, deep-dive investigation, and the formal filing of non-bailable drug charges.

Every gram of the confiscated narcotics underwent strict chain-of-custody marking and inventory, witnessed by independent third-party representatives to ensure airtight prosecution in court.
