The Philippines has become one of the three biggest export markets for the Ford Ranger Raptor, alongside Australia and South Africa.
Ford said strong local demand has placed the country among the pickup’s leading overseas destinations. The Ranger Raptor first entered production in 2018 and has since reached more than 215,000 units worldwide as of 31 May 2026.
The performance pickup was developed by Ford teams in Australia, while global production began at the Ford Thailand Manufacturing plant in Rayong. The first production unit left the factory on 25 June 2018.
Thailand remains the main production and export base for the Ranger Raptor. The plant now ships the model to 106 countries. Ford also began building the pickup at its Michigan Assembly Plant in 2023 for the North American market.
The Ranger Raptor was first planned as a low-volume truck aimed at a small group of off-road buyers. Demand soon grew as the model gained attention for its suspension, engine performance and ability to handle rough terrain.
Ford Philippines managing director Pedro Simoes said the truck has built a strong following among Filipino owners.
“The Ranger Raptor has completely redefined what a high-performance pickup can be, and its sustained demand in the country is a testament to its unmatched capabilities,” Simoes said.
He added that the model has also become closely linked with an active group of owners across the country.
The Philippine range is led by the Ranger Raptor 3.0L V6. Its twin-turbo EcoBoost engine produces 397 PS and 583 Nm of torque. Power goes through a 10-speed automatic transmission.
The pickup also comes with an anti-lag system that works in Baja mode for off-road use. Its suspension uses Ford Performance-developed FOX 2.5-inch Live Valve internal bypass shock absorbers.
The Ranger Raptor remains one of Ford’s key performance models in the local pickup segment as demand continues eight years after production began.
