The Bamban Municipal Police Station is filing charges of homicide to the suspects who were involved in the death of Arjay Yumul , a Person with Disability (PWD) vlogger in the town of Bamban, Tarlac.

In a statement released on 8 July 2026, Bamban Municipal Police Station Chief of Police PMaj. Leoncio Alcantara said that the police are charging cases of homicide against the four suspects involved in the melee that led to the death of Yumul.

He added that the four suspects remain at large as the Bamban Police are conducting manhunt operations on the said suspects. Alcantara furthered that they have hard evidence and testimonies from the people who tried to stop the said fight.

According to investigation, the said incident started with a prank on 3 July inside a videoke stall in Bamban, until the group ganged up on Yumul. Alcantara said that initial findings showed that brain hemorrhage was the cause of death of Yumul after incurring a powerful blow to the head.

“Muling nananawagan ang Bamban MPS sa publiko na iwasan ang anumang uri ng karahasan at huwag pairalin ang sariling batas. Hinihikayat ang lahat na makipagtulungan sa mga awtoridad at ipaubaya sa mga kinauukulang ahensya ang wastong proseso ng hustisya,” Alcantara said.

The Bamban Police assured that the implementation of the law is fair and without bias, while also respecting the rights of those involved in the said incident, providing due process as stated in the law.
