The Department of Justice (DoJ) and the local government of Quezon City have launched two digital platforms designed to modernize case management and streamline the delivery of prosecution services, officials said.
Justice Secretary Fredderick A. Vida led the 29 June launch of the Online Prosecutor’s Clearance Application System and the Digital Case Management System during ceremonies at Quezon City Hall.
It was attended by Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte, Justice Undersecretaries Ian Norman E. Dato and Garney M. Candelaria, and Quezon City Prosecutor Vimar M. Barcellano.
The online clearance system allows individuals to apply for and receive a prosecutor’s clearance through Quezon City’s eServices portal, eliminating the need to visit prosecution offices in person.
Meanwhile, the digital case management system allows prosecutors to electronically record case information, track case statuses in real time, and improve overall coordination.
The DoJ said the platforms are part of its broader campaign to modernize the justice system, making services more accessible while helping prosecutors manage heavy workloads efficiently.
Vidal commended Quezon City prosecutors for their handling of a high volume of cases and said the initiative reflects the department’s commitment to innovation.
"I am confident that these reforms will further strengthen public confidence in the justice system and reinforce the public’s trust in government," Vidal said.
Officials added that the rollout supports the department's goal of expanding access to justice and improving prosecution efficiency nationwide.
