MediCard Philippines has enhanced its Livewell Lifestyle Management Program with an AI-powered platform that helps patients with chronic diseases access doctors, dietitians and health coaches through a single mobile app.

Developed with Singapore-based health technology firm Amplify Health, the program is powered by the AMPED app, which combines virtual consultations, unlimited chat-based coaching, AI-powered meal logging, activity and sleep tracking, and personalized health insights.

The platform is designed to help patients manage conditions such as diabetes, hypertension and cardiovascular disease through continuous, data-driven care.

“Livewell is designed to give MediCard members timely, personalized support whenever they need it,” said MediCard CEO Julian Mengual. “It helps individuals achieve their health goals in ways that are practical and relevant to their daily lives, while delivering a more seamless and accessible care experience.”

Members also receive one-on-one video consultations, direct access to dietitians, biomarker tracking and progress reports. Coaches are based in the Philippines and provide support in both English and Filipino.

Registered Dietitian Emma Perida said sustained progress comes from clear goals and continuous engagement.

“Patients stay consistent because of the milestones we set together. When the goals and expected results are clear, they follow through. And as they go along, we continue to support them, communicate with them, and follow up. They know we care,” Perida said.

Dr. Mary Joanne Ramos, MediCard’s head of Medical Governance and Capability, said long-term success depends on consistency.

“It must be continuous, consistent, and complete. Continuous effort, consistent good habits, and complete adherence to medication and follow-ups are what truly move patients toward better health.”
