TAMARAW returns to the track as Toyota Motor Philippines prepares the next Gazoo Racing round at Clark International Speedway.
Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) is bringing the Toyota Gazoo Racing Philippine Cup back to the track in July, with the next leg set to test alternative fuels in actual race conditions.
The series returns from 9 to 11 July 2026 at Clark International Speedway in Angeles, Pampanga, after a pause in local motorsports linked to the national fuel crisis.

Toyota is treating the race weekend as a “rolling laboratory” for alternative fuels. The company wants to see how the fuels perform under the heat, stress and pace of competitive driving, instead of testing them only in controlled conditions.
The return follows the suspension of Automobile Association of the Philippines (AAP)-sanctioned motorsports events in March. The pause came after the government declared a national emergency tied to the fuel crisis caused by the closure of the Strait of Hormuz in the Persian Gulf.
AAP has since allowed several motorsports activities to resume. Some non-AAP events have also returned, with organizers encouraging the use of alternative fuels such as ethanol and biodiesel.
The race series was among the events affected because it is sanctioned by AAP. Toyota stopped the succeeding rounds after the opening leg in Cavite.
The first round was held at Riverpark in General Trias, Cavite, where the Tamaraw One-Make Race cars made their competitive debut on a 2.4-kilometer street course. The event also featured the Vios One-Make Race, which has long served as a training ground for local drivers.
TMP president Masando Hashimoto also joined the Tamaraw race during the opening leg. Iñigo Anton and Will Lucas won their respective races in Cavite.
