The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) seized five unregistered caliber .38 revolvers from criminal circulation following the arrest of two individuals during a buy‑bust operation in Parañaque City on Thursday, 25 June.

The operation was launched after intelligence units confirmed reports of an illicit firearms transaction in the area.

Joint operatives of the District Special Operations Unit, District Intelligence Division, Intelligence Section of the District Mobile Force Battalion, and Parañaque City Police Station conducted the entrapment near Car City Garage along Mia Road, Barangay Tambo, where a 32‑year‑old man and a 35‑year‑old woman were intercepted during the illegal sale.

Recovered from the suspects were five chrome caliber .38 revolvers, two mobile phones, the marked money used in the operation, and a red eco bag used to conceal the firearms.

The confiscated firearms will undergo verification and ballistic examination to determine whether they were used in previous criminal activities.

The arrested suspects will be charged for violating Republic Act No. 10591, in relation to Section 32 of Republic Act No. 7166, as well as City of Parañaque Ordinance No. 2023‑19 implementing the gun ban.
