The Commission on Audit (CoA) has issued an unmodified opinion on the local government of Caloocan’s 2025 financial statements, confirming the local government’s compliance with state accounting standards.
An unmodified opinion is the highest audit rating issued by the commission, indicating that an entity’s financial statements are presented fairly and in accordance with applicable government regulations and ethical practices.
City officials said that the recognition highlights the local government’s commitment to transparency and accountability under the leadership of Mayor Dale Gonzalo Malapitan.
Malapitan expressed gratitude to state auditors for the assessment, noting that the rating reflects the city’s responsible handling of public money.
“This recognition is proof of our continuous effort to maintain the orderly and responsible use of city funds,” Malapitan said.
The local government stressed that the audit result reflects its ongoing efforts to ensure public resources are utilized effectively for programs and services that directly benefit residents.
Malapitan reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to maintaining sound financial practices and delivering public services with integrity.
