FOR the Ofws The Department of Trade and Industry-Small Business Corporation and the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration recently signed a Memorandum of Agreement for the OFW Negosyo Fund Program, reinforcing government efforts to empower OFWs and their families through entrepreneurship and enterprise development. The MoA was sealed between (from left) SBCorp president Bobby Bastillo, Trade Secretary Cristina Roque, Migrant Workers Secretary Hans Leo Cacdac, and OWWA administrator Patricia Yvonne ‘PY’ Caunan. The partnership aims to expand access to financial assistance and business opportunities for OFWs, supporting their transition toward sustainable livelihood and long-term financial stability.
