The Cainta Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) has officially received its new rescue pick-up, which will be a significant asset to rescue operations in Rizal.

The vehicle arrived a few months after the Cainta BFP requested it.

It was designed to pass through flooded areas and can be submerged up to half its height—something that is crucial, especially during heavy rains and flooding.

Prior to the formal turnover, BFP personnel, led by Fire Marshal FCapt. Garry Cantillon, conducted a thorough inspection.

Cainta Mayor Keith Nieto personally accepted the vehicle after confirming that it was in good condition.

According to Nieto, the local government's support does not end here. The arrival of a new fire truck is also expected, which will enhance the BFP's firefighting capabilities.

He said the additional fire truck is very essential this month, observed as Fire Prevention Month, as this is the period when fire incidents usually spike across different locations.

The mayor added that the town must always be prepared for any emergency, whether it be floods or fires, and that this new equipment is a testament to the local government's serious commitment to the safety of the lives and property of the Cainteños.

Meanwhile, Cainta BFP officials expressed their gratitude for the local government's continued support and assured that the new vehicle would be used for the welfare of the citizens.
