CLARK FREEPORT ZONE — Clark International Airport has been named one of the world’s best airports for arrivals in the 2025 Airport Service Quality (ASQ) Customer Experience Awards, a global ranking based entirely on passenger feedback.
The recognition, announced by Airports Council International (ACI) World, was part of a strong showing for the Philippines. Mactan-Cebu International Airport in Lapu-Lapu City was also recognized as one of the best airports for departures in the category of 5 million to 15 million passengers per year.
Luzon International Premiere Airport Development Corp. (LIPAD), the private operator of Clark International Airport, said the award reflects a commitment to efficient service and Filipino hospitality.
“First impressions matter greatly for visitors coming to our country, and we aim to keep providing positive experiences for all passengers,” Noel Manankil, LIPAD president and CEO, said in a statement.
The 2025 ASQ survey sampled nearly 707,000 passengers worldwide. Clark scored high marks for its cleanliness, ventilation, efficient arrival procedures and the speed of border and passport control.
In the arrivals category, Clark joins an elite global list that includes Bahrain International Airport and India’s Kempegowda and Mangaluru international airports. Mactan-Cebu’s recognition for departures puts it alongside hubs such as Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport in India.
The ASQ awards are considered a primary benchmark for airport excellence because they rely on real-time traveler data rather than industry panels. The results come as Philippine aviation hubs face increased scrutiny over operational challenges, signaling a shift toward higher service standards at regional gateways.
