SM City Bataan staged the “Mukhang Ibon, Sayaw Ibon” dance competition as part of the Ibong Dayo Festival in Balanga City on 24 February 2026.
The competition, held in partnership with the Balanga City government, showcased the creativity and talent of elementary students from six schools in the city.
Participants delivered lively, bird-inspired performances featuring dynamic choreography and imaginative costumes representing various bird species found in Balanga.
Beyond dance, the event provided a platform for young learners to express their artistry through elaborate props and costumes that highlighted the city’s rich avian heritage.
Balanga is known for its migratory birds, particularly in Barangay Tortugas, where species from different parts of the world gather annually. The festival and its related activities celebrate this natural asset while promoting environmental awareness and local identity.
By supporting the Ibong Dayo Festival, SM City Bataan underscored its commitment to community engagement, cultural promotion and environmental appreciation.
